Hygiene Technician – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Hygiene Technician to join its food manufacturing operations in Rochester. You will work across multiple production sites, ensuring that hygiene standards are consistently met in both operational and non‑operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and deep‑cleaning activities on production lines, equipment and staff facilities.
• Support scheduled machinery deep cleans and shutdown cleaning programmes.
• Maintain and monitor cleaning records to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and health & safety regulations.
• Assist with the preparation and upkeep of staff welfare areas.

Required profile

• Previous hygiene experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Familiarity with UK food manufacturing practices.
• Ability to work Monday‑to‑Friday, 6:00 am‑4:00 pm shift.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe chemical handling procedures.
• Experience with machinery deep cleaning and production shutdown cleaning.
