ICT Systems Support Team Leader

About the role

The Scottish Ambulance Service is looking for an experienced ICT Systems Support Team Leader to manage its local ICT support team in South Queensferry. You will act as the primary liaison between the team and senior ICT management while ensuring high‑quality IT services across the East of Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the local ICT Systems Support Team.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the ICT team and the Systems Support Manager/ICT Service Desk.
• Allocate and coordinate work assignments for team members.
• Maintain efficient delivery of IT support services, including participation in a 24/7 on‑call rota.
• Travel throughout Scotland as required, with occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• In‑depth specialist knowledge of Windows, SQL Server, Azure, VMware and related technologies.
• Proven experience in people management, team building and communication.
• Ability to create a supportive, respectful working environment.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
