In-House Legal Counsel – Commercial, Disputes & Risk

About the role

Our client, a multi‑disciplinary financial consultancy, is looking for an In‑House Legal Counsel to join its Legal & Risk team on a hybrid basis in Glasgow/Edinburgh. The role offers a broad remit covering commercial contracts, disputes, regulatory matters and insurance issues, providing high‑impact exposure across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
• Provide legal and risk advice to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with disputes, complaints and litigation matters.
• Support regulatory compliance, investigations and insurance‑related issues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in the UK with a current, unrestricted practising certificate (preferably in Scotland).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience, with flexibility on exact PQE.
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: commercial contracts, disputes or litigation, regulatory investigations, insurance or professional indemnity.
• Relevant UK legal experience.
