In-house Solicitor – Corporate/Commercial Law

About the role

We are seeking an experienced In‑house Solicitor to join a dynamic legal team in Cheshire. The role provides day‑to‑day legal advice, supports international expansion, and works closely with senior leadership on complex commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to the business, collaborating with the General Counsel and senior leaders.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including FIDIC, NEC and JCT forms used in construction and engineering projects.
• Support international growth activities such as acquisitions, restructures, incorporations and cross‑border transactions.
• Advise on corporate governance and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, particularly in the MEA region.
• Assist with the integration of new businesses, ensuring alignment with group‑wide legal and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Proven experience handling commercial contracts, preferably within construction or engineering sectors.
• Familiarity with international legal frameworks and cross‑border transactions.
• Commercially minded with the ability to deliver pragmatic advice in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and confident working with senior stakeholders.
