Independent Financial Adviser – Manage 150 Clients

About the role

We are seeking an Independent Financial Adviser to join a well‑established wealth planning practice near Guildford. The successful candidate will inherit a portfolio of approximately 150 clients from a retiring adviser and will be expected to grow the business through existing networks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with an existing client base of around 150 high‑net‑worth individuals and families.
• Provide comprehensive financial planning, investment advice and wealth management services.
• Generate new business by leveraging contacts with sports clubs, business groups, accountants and solicitors.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including CAS sign‑off and ongoing professional qualifications.
• Collaborate with senior directors and contribute to the practice’s strategic growth.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as an Independent Financial Adviser or similar advisory role.
• Diploma‑level qualification in financial planning (e.g., Diploma in Financial Planning).
• CAS signed off and a track record of managing client assets of at least £500k.
• Motivation to pursue Chartered status, with support for study expenses.
