Information Security Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Artis Recruitment is partnering with a leading professional services organisation to find an Information Security Specialist based in Bristol. The role is hybrid, offering the chance to shape the company’s security posture, work with technology teams and support governance, risk and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Identify, assess and mitigate information security risks across the business.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Assist with compliance activities, audits and certifications such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Handle client security enquiries and perform supplier security assessments.
• Promote security awareness and best practices throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an Information Security, Cyber Security or Security Governance role.
• Strong understanding of security principles, risk management and security frameworks.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Knowledge of security incident management and threat mitigation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and professional development.
• Passion for information security and emerging technologies.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous but not required.
