Infrastructure Solutions Lead (Interim, 3‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Lead to join a well‑established organisation on a three‑month interim contract. This technical position bridges business stakeholders and the infrastructure engineering function, ensuring that initiatives are technically assessed and aligned before delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Technical Subject Matter Expert, translating business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Review incoming project requests, identifying infrastructure, cloud, networking and systems impacts, risks and dependencies.
• Liaise between business analysts, project stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure alignment.
• Challenge and refine requirements to achieve the most efficient technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate or streamline infrastructure across multiple projects.
• Provide guidance on Azure cloud services, networking and enterprise systems.
• Support planning activities by highlighting shared components and potential efficiencies.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms and enterprise IT environments.
• Proven experience in senior engineering, technical lead or solutions lead roles.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Service Bus.
• Experience supporting business systems implementation projects.
• Knowledge of global networking principles and international infrastructure environments.

What we offer

• 3‑month fixed‑term contract (outside IR35)

• Daily rate of £600‑£650 (visible to candidates only)
