In‑house Corporate and Commercial Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced in‑house Corporate and Commercial Legal Counsel to join our client’s team in London. Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Commercial, you will act as a trusted legal adviser, providing pragmatic advice on a wide range of commercial matters and supporting the execution of key transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on commercial issues, including sales and procurement contracts.
• Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial agreements such as sales contracts, supplier contracts, hosting agreements, data‑transfer agreements and NDAs.
• Identify data‑related risks and negotiate appropriate terms to ensure compliance with data‑protection legislation.
• Respond to internal queries on legal topics, including IP, overdue payments and disputes.
• Engage and manage external counsel when specialist advice is required.
• Deliver clear, commercially‑focused advice that mitigates risk for the business.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Commercially astute and pragmatic, with a strong understanding of business and legal risk.
• Proven expertise in contract law and a track record of managing commercial transactions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
