In‑house Corporate & Commercial Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an in‑house Corporate and Commercial Legal Counsel to join our client’s legal team in London. Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Commercial, you will act as a trusted adviser, providing practical legal support on a wide range of commercial matters and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and oversee the execution of commercial transactions.
• Negotiate and draft commercial agreements such as sales contracts, supplier contracts, hosting agreements, data‑transfer agreements and NDAs.
• Respond to internal queries on data protection, overdue payments, IP issues and disputes.
• Identify data‑related risks and ensure contractual terms comply with relevant data legislation.
• Engage and manage external counsel when specialist advice is required.
• Deliver clear, commercially‑focused legal guidance to minimise business risk.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Commercially astute and pragmatic, able to balance business and legal risk.
• Strong expertise in contract law and a proven track record of managing transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
