Inquests Solicitor – Associate / Senior Associate (Healthcare & Public Law)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inquests Solicitor to join the specialist Inquests division of our Healthcare & Public Law team in Liverpool. The role involves advising NHS bodies and other health and social care organisations on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on inquests and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to NHS organisations and health‑social care providers on inquests and related regulatory issues.
• Represent clients in inquest hearings and other advocacy settings.
• Assist with Court of Protection matters, public law investigations and patient‑safety concerns.
• Contribute to broader healthcare regulatory work and public‑law projects.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with proven experience in healthcare inquests.
• Strong advocacy skills and the ability to manage complex client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a specialist legal team.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of healthcare inquest procedures.
• Experience with NHS and public‑law contexts.
