About the role

The Integrated Service Supervisor will lead the Hotel Service Department at Gorbals Health Centre, ensuring high‑quality cleaning, catering, personal clothing, and porter services are delivered safely and efficiently. This part‑time, permanent position supports the wider NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde mission to provide excellent patient care through effective support services.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist with all integrated service activities, ensuring schedules are followed.
  • Maintain safe systems of work and monitor staff compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Report faults, manage equipment use, and ensure proper stock control.
  • Conduct staff counselling, performance documentation, and assist with personal development plans.
  • Organise rotas, arrange cover for absences, and handle client complaints as the first point of contact.
  • Deliver induction and ongoing training, and ensure all statutory and divisional procedures are adhered to.
  • Prepare payroll information and ensure timely completion of required paperwork.

Required profile

  • Knowledge of integrated service functions (training provided).
  • Training in the use of relevant machinery (training provided).
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, Lifting and Handling, and Infection Control practices (training provided).
  • Basic Food Hygiene certification (training provided).
  • Supervisory training (training provided).
  • Driving licence is desirable.
