Interim Accountant – Sage Intacct (3 days onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Accountant with deep expertise in Sage Intacct to join a finance team in Bristol on a three‑day‑per‑week onsite basis for a 3‑6 month contract. The role blends hands‑on accounting duties with coaching and system‑adoption responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for Sage Intacct across the finance function.
• Train, coach and support finance colleagues to use Sage Intacct effectively and consistently.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and promote best practice within the system.
• Provide day‑to‑day support and troubleshooting for finance users.
• Assist with routine accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations and month‑end support.
• Support the finance team with the accounting aspects of a business disposal/divestment, including administration and reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive, hands‑on experience with Sage Intacct and confidence to train and mentor finance professionals.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles.
• Previous experience supporting user adoption is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex system functionality in a clear, practical way.
• Proactive, collaborative and comfortable working with stakeholders across the finance team.
