Interim Corporate M&A Legal Counsel (3-6 months)

About the role

This interim position offers a highly qualified Corporate M&A lawyer the chance to join a leading global financial services firm in London on a 3‑6 month basis. You will work within a strong legal team, handling complex domestic and cross‑border transactions in a fast‑moving, commercially sophisticated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and lead domestic and international M&A transactions.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents such as SPAs, investment agreements and ancillary contracts.
• Assist with corporate structuring, governance, and post‑deal integration matters.
• Advise senior business stakeholders on strategic projects and transaction risk.
• Collaborate closely with external counsel and internal commercial teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a recognised corporate/M&A practice, either in private practice or in‑house.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative legal function.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice start preferred.
