Interim Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to step in as Interim Head of Finance for a fast‑growing international services business based in Fareham. This senior role will drive financial strategy, ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and support the company’s rapid global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, delivering commercial insight to senior management.
• Design and maintain a tax‑efficient group structure, working with external advisors across jurisdictions.
• Oversee international billing and multi‑currency transactions, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all statutory, regulatory and audit requirements are met for UK and overseas entities.
• Act as a hands‑on finance leader, mentoring the finance team and fostering a culture of accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial controls, processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, operations and IT to enhance financial systems and automation.
• Manage payroll, HR‑related finance processes and core transactional activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, tax advisors, auditors and other external partners.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in international or multi‑entity environments, including cross‑border billing.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax‑efficient financial strategies.
• Commercially minded finance leader with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
