Interim HR Business Partner (Hybrid, Dorset)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join the People & Culture team on an interim basis. Based in Dorset, the role works hybrid with 2‑3 days in the office, supporting a growing organisation across the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and line managers to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management and investigations.
• Support organisational design, workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
• Collaborate with recruitment colleagues to identify hiring needs and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
• Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding through probation, development and retention.
• Assist managers with performance management, coaching and development planning.
• Review and maintain HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
• Produce and analyse HR metrics and reports to inform decision‑making.
• Coordinate learning and development activities with external providers.
• Support employee engagement and culture initiatives across UK and international teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and line managers.
• Experience managing the full employee lifecycle and talent development programmes.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
