Interim HR Manager – Life Sciences (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing life sciences business to secure an interim HR Manager for a six‑month assignment. You will own the full employee lifecycle, delivering a consistent and positive experience from onboarding through off‑boarding while supporting managers and staff on day‑to‑day HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, induction, and off‑boarding processes to ensure seamless transitions.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance on policies, handling conflicts, and escalating complex issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and advise managers on statutory rights, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Own HR records and systems, guaranteeing data accuracy, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance.
• Produce regular HR metrics and reports on headcount, attrition, absence, and recruitment activity for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a standalone HR Manager with a broad generalist background.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong track record of handling employee relations, recruitment, and payroll compliance in fast‑paced environments.
