Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

RCDC is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its growing building services consultancy. You will work on a variety of projects, collaborating with electrical and public health teams to deliver high‑quality MEP designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for smaller projects and contribute to larger project designs.
• Produce detailed mechanical designs using Revit, CAD, and Bluebeam.
• Collaborate with electrical and public health disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Prepare design proposals and ensure compliance with CIBSE, BSRIA, and UK building regulations.
• Guide and train less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in mechanical design within the UK.
• Ability to deliver designs independently across commercial, education, and residential sectors.
• Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status.
• Understanding of Net Zero strategies and building services integration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit (preferred).
• Experience using CAD and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with IES or similar simulation tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
