Internal Auditor – Hybrid (Leeds)

About the role

This permanent Internal Auditor position sits within a leading international organisation’s UK audit function. Based in Leeds on a hybrid model (one day a week on‑site), the role offers extensive exposure to operational audits across a diverse portfolio of sites and sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operational and head‑office audits across the UK.
• Review key controls such as cash handling, inventory management, goods receipt and accounts payable.
• Conduct audit fieldwork, document findings and produce comprehensive audit reports.
• Present recommendations and agree action plans with senior management.
• Support ad‑hoc reviews, investigations and external audit requirements.
• Contribute to risk assessment and audit planning activities.

Required profile

• Previous internal audit experience (essential).
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management and audit methodology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing operational data.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
