Internal Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Internal Sales Engineer with a strong electrical or mechanical background to join a specialist engineering company in Chelmsford. You will combine technical expertise with customer interaction, supporting an expanding client base and working closely with the external sales and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and provide technical product advice.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Collaborate closely with the external sales team and engineering department.
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts and maximise revenue.

Required profile

• Electrical or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in internal sales, technical sales, customer service or engineering support.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and progress.
• Ability to commute to Chelmsford.
