Interventions Tutor – 1:1 & Small Group Support

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic Interventions Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children and young people who face barriers to learning. The role is based in the Dorset & Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area and starts in September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver targeted educational interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Help students close learning gaps, improve attainment and build confidence.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning styles and SEND profiles.
• Work towards EHCP outcomes where applicable and provide regular progress updates.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs or additional learning needs.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Patient, creative and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
