Inventory First Line Manager – Warehouse Operations

About the role

Join GXO Logistics at the Banbury site as an Inventory First Line Manager, leading the PM shift team responsible for stock control and inventory accuracy. You will be the primary point of contact for operational and IT issues, ensuring smooth warehouse performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Stock Control Operatives, allocating workload and monitoring performance against KPIs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks, discrepancy investigations and returns management.
• Analyse inventory data, produce reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the first point of contact for on‑site IT incidents, coordinating with central IT support for system upgrades and rollouts.
• Promote a positive team culture through coaching, training and effective communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in a warehouse, logistics or stock control environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting and data analysis).
