Investigative Supervisor – Hate Crime Investigations

About the role

We are seeking experienced Investigative Supervisors to lead the investigation of antisemitic and other priority hate‑crime offences in Greater Manchester. The role involves managing complex cases to a PIP 2 standard while working closely with police, specialist partners and community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and manage investigative workloads across the team.
• Oversee investigative standards and ensure compliance with PIP 2 guidelines.
• Support the performance, development and wellbeing of investigators.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, partner agencies and community groups.
• Direct investigators in end‑to‑end case management, victim safeguarding, evidence gathering and case building.
• Collaborate with CPS, criminal‑justice partners and Warden teams to ensure consistent best practice.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in hate‑crime or serious crime investigations.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of investigators.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Knowledge of police procedures, PIP standards and criminal‑justice processes.
