Investment Analyst (Alternatives)

About the role

Border to Coast is seeking a motivated Investment Analyst to join its Alternatives team in Leeds. You will support the evaluation and monitoring of a diverse range of alternative assets, helping to secure the pensions of over a million UK contributors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive due‑diligence reports using internal and external data sources.
• Conduct initial research and analysis on new investment opportunities, incorporating ESG, climate and responsible investment considerations.
• Provide data analysis for ongoing portfolio monitoring and regular management information reporting (performance, attribution, exposure, risk metrics).
• Participate actively in investment team meetings, contribute to thought leadership and collaborate across the organisation.
• Liaise with third‑party advisers, consultants and research providers as required.
• Identify and raise potential risks to the People Manager and Operational Risk Manager.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in investment research, due diligence or a similar analytical environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• High integrity, trustworthiness and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related data‑handling tools.
