Investment Analyst

About the role

MS Amlin, a leading (re)insurer and founding partner of Lloyd's, is hiring a full-time, permanent Investment Analyst in London. The role provides the implementation and delivery capability for daily execution, regulatory compliance and portfolio monitoring, supporting the Strategy and Operations leads with data-driven insights, accurate reporting and execution know-how.

Key responsibilities

• Produce regular regulatory reports on investment holdings, look-through, derivatives positions and realised and unrealised returns, covering Lloyd's, Solvency II, ALM and stress testing.
• Support the Investment Team, Investment Committee and Board with accurate, timely information, including performance, attribution and risk dashboards, breach monitoring, liquidity analytics and ESG metrics, and develop data visualisations.
• Implement day-to-day asset movements with disciplined cash flow management and forecasting, and reconcile data with custodians and systems.
• Act as day-to-day point of contact for technical issues with custodians, investment managers and service providers.
• Monitor that portfolios stay within control ranges, risk and liquidity appetites, and challenge external investment managers against internal policies and Lloyd's standards.

Required profile

• Background in a similar analytical role in financial services, preferably insurance, with familiarity of Lloyd's and Solvency II reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics or Economics; progress toward CFA or IMC preferred.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to collaborate with third-party managers, custodians and fund administrators.
• Enjoy problem-solving, process improvement and continuous learning of new systems and automation tools.

Required skills

• Familiarity with risk models, preferably Aladdin and/or Bloomberg PORT.
• Strong SQL, Python, Power BI and Excel skills.
