Investment Taxes Assistant Manager – Group Tax (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an Investment Taxes Assistant Manager to join the Operational Taxes Team within Group Tax. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is based in Edinburgh and works in a hybrid model, supporting the Insurance & Wealth business by overseeing investment tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight of tax processes performed by appointed custodians, including receipt of overseas investment income net of treaty withholding tax.
• Manage tax reporting and compliance for UK Open‑Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and investment funds.
• Ensure third‑party outsourcers meet service level agreements and maintain high‑quality tax positions.
• Review and improve withholding tax processes for territories not covered by outsourcing arrangements.
• Collaborate with project teams, advisory teams and external advisors on developments affecting the investment portfolio.

Required profile

• Assistant‑manager level experience in investment taxation and operational tax risk.
• Knowledge of UK tax compliance for OEICs and investment funds.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (minimum two days on‑site).
