IT Client Services Manager

About the role

The IT Client Services Manager will act as the bridge between YMCA North Tyneside’s diverse teams and its technology environment. You will ensure that staff across youth work, housing, nursery, and gym services can use digital tools confidently and securely. This role combines strategic IT leadership with hands‑on service delivery in a charitable setting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for external IT support providers, monitor service level agreements and manage contracts.
• Conduct skills‑gap analyses and deliver training to improve digital literacy and ethical AI use among staff.
• Maintain the IT Risk Register, implement cybersecurity measures such as MFA and encryption, and lead the organisation toward Cyber Essentials certification.
• Develop, test and maintain a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan to ensure 24/7 operations.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement of hardware, software and telecom services, negotiate contracts and manage the full lifecycle of devices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a client‑side IT management role or as a team lead within an MSP.
• Strong background in IT procurement, vendor assessment and implementation.
• Experience creating or maintaining Disaster Recovery plans.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into plain language for non‑technical audiences.
