IT Infrastructure & Security Technician – Hybrid

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to join our MIS team as an IT Infrastructure & Security Technician. The role is permanent, full‑time and hybrid, based in Whitstable, supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the company’s infrastructure while driving security, compliance and governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor LAN, WAN, network switches, Hyper‑V virtual environments, SAN storage, UPS systems and end‑user devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, hardware and security incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Ensure infrastructure and software comply with internal policies, security standards and audit requirements.
• Prepare evidence and documentation for internal and external audits such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Perform patching, firmware updates, vulnerability remediation and routine system maintenance.
• Monitor hardware stock levels and support ordering/replenishment processes.
• Assist with IT and security awareness programmes and track training completion.

Required profile

• Solid background in IT support with a keen interest in infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Experience working in a regulated environment and familiarity with audit processes.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
