IT Support Engineer – Helpdesk Technician

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing Managed Services and Cloud Solutions provider, is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join their Service Desk in Brighton. You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering fast, friendly technical assistance and helping to keep client environments secure and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st line support via telephone, email and remote tools.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and Microsoft‑related issues.
• Support and maintain Windows desktop environments.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and user support.
• Configure and troubleshoot wireless networking solutions.
• Monitor client systems and proactively identify potential problems.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior technical teams when required.
• Maintain accurate ticket records and documentation.

Required profile

• Good understanding of general IT principles, technologies and terminology.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
• Knowledge of Windows domain and network environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience configuring and supporting wireless networks.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• High attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach.
