IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join a well‑established organisation in Oxford. The role offers a supportive environment, exposure to a broad technical estate and the chance to develop your skills within a forward‑thinking IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support to staff across hardware, software and network issues.
• Install, configure, maintain and upgrade desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Support and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and core business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, printer and user‑account problems.
• Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, device roll‑outs and infrastructure improvements.
• Monitor and manage support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers and user guides.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support or technician role.
• Good working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 and basic networking principles.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and user‑related issues.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple support requests.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential).
