Junior Accountant

About the role

Equifind Group is recruiting a Junior Accountant for a leading private‑equity firm in London’s West End. The role offers a structured training ground for candidates with at least two years’ experience who wish to progress towards ACCA or CIMA qualification while gaining broad finance exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts‑payable invoices and payments.
• Handle employee expense claims using the Pleo system.
• Monitor group cash position and perform bank reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end accounting tasks, including updating quarter‑end working papers and posting journals (fixed assets, depreciation, pre‑payments, accruals).
• Prepare VAT returns and inter‑company recharges.
• Run monthly payroll and reconcile inter‑company balances.
• Support year‑end audit activities and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Qualified AAT accountant or part‑qualified finance professional.
• Strong ambition to pursue ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑growing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and a collaborative team attitude.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).

What we offer
