Junior AV Installation Engineer – Marine (Super Yachts)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior AV Installation Engineer to join a specialist marine team focused on super‑yacht audio‑visual integration. You will receive comprehensive training and work closely with a senior engineer, gaining hands‑on experience with high‑end AV systems used on luxury vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead engineer in installing, configuring and commissioning AV, lighting and sound equipment on super‑yachts.
• Perform soldering, crimping, cable termination and rack building to exacting standards.
• Travel overseas as required to support project installations and client hand‑overs.
• Participate in all relevant training courses to deepen knowledge of AV kits and control platforms.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure projects are delivered on time.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in high‑end residential AV integration.
• Strong technical attitude, punctuality and willingness to work on site for extended periods.
• Based in Hertfordshire or the surrounding South East England area.
• Ability to travel internationally and stay away from home for project durations.

Required skills

• Soldering, crimping and cable termination.
• Rack installation and integration.
• Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Control4 and other smart‑home platforms.
• Knowledge of DSP, lighting, sound and general audio‑visual equipment.
