Junior Business Development Executive – Fareham

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Business Development Executive to join our fast‑growing logistics company in Fareham. You will receive full training and will be responsible for generating new freight business, both by cold‑calling and building relationships with prospective customers.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and conduct cold calls to prospective clients.
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline to create new custom.
• Meet customers via phone, Teams or face‑to‑face to understand their needs.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships.
• Present tailored logistics solutions and advise on our services.

Required profile

• Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with presentation ability.
• Decision‑making capability and a flexible, initiative‑driven approach.
• Tenacity to meet or exceed sales targets and ability to work collaboratively.
• Self‑motivation, multitasking and prioritisation skills.

Required skills

• IT proficiency, including the use of spreadsheets.

What we offer

• Base salary up to £30,000, rising to £35,000 after six months of training.
• Commission structure with OTE around £40,000+.
• Full training and development in sea‑freight sales.
• Permanent full‑time role based in Fareham.
