Junior Finance Controller – French Speaking

About the role

BF International is seeking a French‑speaking Junior Finance Controller to join its finance team in London. Working closely with the Senior Finance Controller, you will support financial reporting and accounting activities across multiple African subsidiaries, helping to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Finance Controller with day‑to‑day finance tasks and monthly reporting.
• Analyse, reconcile and validate accounting documents for entities across Africa.
• Maintain the integrity and compliance of General Ledger transactions in several countries.
• Communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial operational teams.
• Liaise with accountants in African subsidiaries to resolve queries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Fluent in French (written and spoken) – essential.
• Minimum 3 years of finance or accounting experience (5 years preferred).
• Part‑qualified or fully qualified in a recognised accounting qualification.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally after the probation period.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
