Junior Financial Controller – Sole Role (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a driven Junior Financial Controller to take ownership of finance across our London and New York offices. Reporting to the FD and MD, you will lead day‑to‑day financial operations while shaping the strategic direction of the finance function in a fast‑growing creative agency.

Key responsibilities

• Run full month‑end and year‑end processes for UK and US entities, with external accountant support.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reports, and income forecasts.
• Lead invoicing, credit control, supplier posting & payments, and coordinate outsourced payroll.
• Administer and optimise Paprika (i2 and Citrix) for job costing, timesheets, and project profitability tracking.
• Produce budget reports and forecasts for leadership, providing performance insights.
• File VAT returns and ensure HMRC, Companies House, and payroll compliance in the UK.
• Liaise with US tax/accounting partners for sales tax and compliance support.
• Maintain inter‑company balances and multi‑currency reconciliations between UK and US entities.
• Collaborate with department leads to improve financial awareness, support pricing, and ensure project profitability.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in financial control, management accounting, or agency finance roles.
• Strong commercial mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience working in a creative, marketing or project‑based environment is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously while partnering with senior leadership and external advisors.

Required skills

• Strong familiarity with Paprika (i2 and Citrix versions) for cost tracking and reporting.
• Proficiency in multi‑currency accounting and reconciliation.
