Junior IT Technician

About the role

The Junior IT Technician will join Doocey Group’s growing IT team to deliver first‑line support to all staff across the Tipton site. Working under senior technicians, you will help keep hardware, software and network services running smoothly, ensuring a positive experience for users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical assistance for hardware, software and connectivity problems.
• Log, track and resolve tickets in the company ticketing system, meeting agreed service‑level targets.
• Set up, configure and maintain user devices such as laptops, tablets, phones, peripherals and workstations.
• Assist with IT projects, system upgrades and equipment roll‑outs.
• Support the installation of computers, laptops and other IT equipment.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical colleagues.
• Good time‑management and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to follow instructions and ask questions.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and hands‑on approach to troubleshooting.
