Junior Legal Cashier – Finance Support in London

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Legal Cashier to join the Accounts team of a leading UK law firm in London. Working alongside the Cashier Manager and Senior Cashier, you will handle routine cash handling tasks and provide cover for the wider finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile client and office accounts on a daily basis.
• Post transactions into the 3E accounting system and review the office ledger.
• Process disbursement invoices and CHAPS payments.
• Reconcile credit‑card, IPO, WIPO and OHIM accounts.
• Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and report any breaches.
• Respond to queries from partners, fee earners and legal assistants.
• Provide cover for Accounts Payable during absences.
• Support billing activities, including posting bills and credit notes.
• Transfer time and disbursements between matters and edit time entries.

Required profile

• Previous accounts or finance experience within a law‑firm environment.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
