Junior Private Banker – Ultra High Net Worth

About the role

We are expanding our Private Banking and Wealth Management team in Manchester and are looking for a Junior Private Banker to support our Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth (UHNW) client segment. You will work closely with senior bankers to deliver bespoke banking, credit and investment solutions while building strong, trusted relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Private Banker in growing a portfolio of UHNW clients, understanding their financial goals and risk appetite.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing high‑quality service and financial advice.
• Conduct regular reviews of clients' investment and financial portfolios.
• Become a subject‑matter expert on banking products, credit advice, investment solutions and complex client queries.
• Identify and onboard new clients through networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute tailored strategies to attract and retain wealthy clients in the region.
• Attend client events, wealth‑management forums and high‑profile gatherings in London.
• Advise on portfolio management, estate planning, succession and offshore structuring where relevant.
• Keep clients informed on market trends, economic updates and investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Level 4 RDR qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience servicing Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth clients and building relationships.
• Experience in risk monitoring and control within a client book.
• Strong understanding of global economic, political and competitive dynamics.
• Previous experience managing a client base with investable assets of at least £3 million is desirable.
