Junior to Mid‑Level Full‑Stack Developer (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Asendia UK is looking for a motivated Junior to Mid‑Level Developer to join its IT team on a fixed‑term basis. You will work in a fast‑paced eCommerce logistics environment, contributing to a multi‑application full‑stack platform that supports the entire logistics lifecycle from order capture to last‑mile delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across full‑stack web applications using modern frameworks.
• Produce clean, well‑tested, and well‑documented code that follows team standards.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Test Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Investigate and resolve bugs in development, staging, and production environments.
• Support integrations with third‑party logistics APIs, carrier systems, and warehouse management tools.
• Help reduce backlog by handling support tickets and routine configurations.
• Contribute to technical debt reduction, server upgrades, and application migrations.

Required profile

• Motivated individual with a passion for learning and delivering high‑quality software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as C# or PHP.
• Experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices and integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., TSQL) and intermediate SQL.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
• Experience with automated testing and unit testing.
• Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins) and source control (Git/BitBucket).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) is desirable.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS and related services is a plus.
