Kitchen Porter – Full‑time, Mon‑Fri, £15.24/hr – Canary Wharf

About the role

This permanent, full‑time Kitchen Porter position is based in a high‑security corporate catering operation in Canary Wharf. You will work Monday to Friday, with no evenings, weekends or bank holidays, enjoying a reliable schedule and a supportive kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, pots, pans and equipment.
• Support chefs by keeping the back‑of‑house environment tidy and ready for service.
• Assist with basic food preparation when required.
• Receive deliveries, store stock correctly and manage waste disposal.
• Uphold high hygiene and safety standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Ability to pass a thorough security vetting process.
• At least 7 years of continuous UK work history with no unexplained gaps.
• At least 7 years of continuous UK address history.
• Proof of education (certificate from school, college or university).
• Reliability and willingness to work the fixed Monday‑Friday schedule.

Required skills

• Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning techniques.
• Basic food preparation.
• Health & safety and food hygiene compliance.
