Kitchen Team Member – York City Centre (Layerthorpe)

About the role

Join the kitchen team at the York City Centre (Layerthorpe) Premier Inn and help prepare, cook and serve meals for our guests. This is a permanent, 20‑hour‑per‑week position with an immediate start and no prior chef experience required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following Premier Inn standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized kitchen environment.
• Assist with stock control, receiving deliveries and basic food preparation.
• Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for hospitality and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
• Commitment to health and safety and food hygiene standards.
