About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a mainstream primary school in Dagenham. The role is full‑time, temporary and runs until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with daily lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils across Key Stage 2.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support behaviour management and uphold safeguarding standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience in a UK Key Stage 1 or 2 setting.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate with online update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
