KYC Refresh & QC Analyst

About the role

RBC Capital Markets is seeking a proactive KYC Refresh & QC Analyst to support its global compliance function. You will apply strong analytical and communication skills to ensure Know‑Your‑Client due‑diligence processes are accurate and timely before establishing trading relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct global KYC refresh due‑diligence and reviews in line with regional regulatory requirements.
• Perform KYC searches and reviews for low, medium and high‑risk clients.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on KYC/AML regulations for Canada, US, UK, Europe and APAC.
• Respond to ad‑hoc Front Office requests and escalate high‑risk cases to AML Compliance or sanctions teams.
• Track missing documentation, manage escalation queues, and ensure timely task completion.
• Execute 4‑eye quality‑control checks for North America and EMEA business units.
• Collaborate with global KYC and CMG teams to maintain consistent data quality.
• Guide team members on KYC/AML issues and provide training on regional requirements.
• Assist with audit preparation, oversight and quality reviews.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of KYC/AML experience in capital markets within a financial institution.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (IIROC, FINTRAC, FINRA, FCA, OFSI, IRS, etc.).
• Familiarity with capital‑markets products, trade systems and business lines.
• Experience reporting and tracking using MS Excel, MS Access and SharePoint.
• Advanced knowledge of CDR, Fenergo and trading/settlement applications.
