Labourer – Plant & Tool Division

About the role

Join a leading equipment hire provider as a proactive Labourer in the Plant & Tool Division. You will help keep the depot running safely and efficiently, supporting a fast‑paced team that serves construction, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, tidy and hazard‑free workshop and yard.
• Clean, organise and store plant equipment.
• Refuel machinery and accurately record fuel usage.
• Quality‑check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure hire‑readiness.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
• Perform driving duties (subject to licence) and help load/unload vehicles.
• Operate a forklift when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably in a hire depot or yard.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
• CSCS card, forklift licence and driving licence are advantageous.

Required skills

• Forklift licence.
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• Valid driving licence.
