Laundry Attendant – Hotel Laundry Services

About the role

Join the hospitality team at Moxy Halifax Downtown as a Laundry Attendant. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality laundry services to guests and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's linen department.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold clothing and other textile items.
• Remove stains using appropriate procedures and perform minor sewing repairs.
• Track inventory of detergents, sewing kits, and laundry supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of guest items and ensure timely return.
• Monitor equipment maintenance, report repairs, and keep the laundry area clean.
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (advantageous).
• Previous experience in a similar laundry or hospitality role preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lb unaided.
• Basic arithmetic and strong organizational skills.
• Flexible availability for shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
