About the role
We are seeking a Lead CNC Machinist to oversee a team of engineers while remaining hands‑on with CNC equipment. This senior position offers the chance to develop management skills within a respected local manufacturing business.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and occasionally run and set CNC machines.
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers on a triple‑shift pattern (Monday‑Friday).
- Strip down, investigate, survey, and rebuild a range of mechanical products.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards.
Required profile
- Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to set, run, and programme CNC machines.
- Experience working in production, manufacturing, or workshop settings.

What we offer
- Salary £55,000‑£58,000 per year.
- 37‑hour week with early finish on Fridays (7:30 am‑12:30 pm).
- Triple‑shift pattern (earlies, lates & nights) Monday‑Friday.
