Lead Mobile Developer (iOS & Android)

About the role

Harvey Nash is looking for a Lead Mobile Developer to join its engineering team. You will head the design, development and delivery of native mobile applications for a range of clients, working in a hybrid model with two days a week on‑site in Leeds, Manchester or London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of native iOS and Android applications across multiple client projects.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices in mobile architecture, coding standards and testing procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality mobile applications within project deadlines and budgets.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools and technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in native mobile development using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Strong understanding of architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Comfortable working in a client‑facing or consultancy environment.
• Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields (preferred).
