Lead Pharmacist / Pharmacy Technician – EPMA Clinical Workstream

About the role

The BSW Hospitals Group is seeking a senior pharmacy professional to lead the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) workstream across its three Trusts. This fixed‑term position (until 30 June 2027) offers the chance to shape digital medicines processes, improve safety and enhance user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership for the EPMA workstream, defining future‑state workflows and system design.
• Coordinate configuration, testing and implementation of the EPMA solution across Great Western Hospitals, Royal United Hospitals Bath and Salisbury NHS Trusts.
• Manage inter‑dependencies, risks and timelines, ensuring delivery aligns with national standards.
• Liaise with pharmacy teams, prescribers, IT, operational leads and external suppliers such as Oracle Health.
• Drive continuous improvement of prescribing and medication administration processes.

Required profile

• Current GPhC registration as a practising pharmacist or senior pharmacy technician.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
• Experience in digital health projects, preferably within NHS environments.
• Strong clinical safety awareness and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Oracle Health (or similar EPMA platform) knowledge.
• Electronic prescribing and medicines administration system configuration.
