Learning & Development Manager – Interim (FTC/Temp)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation in Haywards Heath that needs an experienced Learning & Development Manager on an interim basis. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and deliver the L&D strategy to ensure the workforce has the capabilities required to meet business goals during a period of change.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
• Manage the full training lifecycle – needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.
• Lead management and leadership development programmes.
• Support change initiatives with targeted learning solutions.
• Oversee external training providers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor training budgets, report on ROI and effectiveness.
• Coach managers to embed learning within their teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Learning & Development Manager or senior L&D role.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Confidence delivering training and facilitating workshops.
• Experience designing blended learning solutions (classroom, virtual, e‑learning).
• Pragmatic, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ideally hold a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
