About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in the Maidstone area. In this full‑time position you will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to provide personalised support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with SEN during lessons and classroom activities
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions
- Assist pupils in developing confidence, independence and academic progress
- Promote wellbeing and a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting SEN students in a school or educational setting
- Proven ability to deliver targeted interventions
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally holds a degree, especially in a core subject or social science discipline
