About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Crewe on a part‑time basis. You will work directly with learners aged 16‑24 who have additional needs, helping them achieve both personal and academic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement strategies from individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and monitor progress.
- Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
- Liaise with local authorities and employers to secure work placements and apprenticeships.
- Match learners with suitable employers based on skills and career aspirations.
Required profile
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting young adults with additional needs, especially SEMH and SEN.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate learners.
- Full UK driving licence desirable for local travel.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools for documentation and communication.
