Learning Support Assistant – Part‑time (Crewe)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Crewe on a part‑time basis. You will work directly with learners aged 16‑24 who have additional needs, helping them achieve both personal and academic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group support for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Implement strategies from individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and monitor progress.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
• Liaise with local authorities and employers to secure work placements and apprenticeships.
• Match learners with suitable employers based on skills and career aspirations.

Required profile

• Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting young adults with additional needs, especially SEMH and SEN.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate learners.
• Full UK driving licence desirable for local travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools for documentation and communication.
